How to Read a Property Class: 8.8
The first digit (8) × 100 = minimum tensile strength in MPa (800 MPa). The second digit (8) × 10% of tensile = yield ratio (80% of 800 MPa = 640 MPa). A metric fastener marked “8.8” has min tensile strength of 800 MPa and min yield of 640 MPa.
